With the band’s managers worrying that the girls aren’t ready to tour, Chynna hosts a fundraiser for the Los Angelitos orphanage. With little time to prepare, Wendy volunteers to cater the event, but did she bite off more than she can chew?
The band has plans to shoot a live concert for Public Television -- a huge opportunity to nationally promote their new album, “Dedicated.” There’s only one problem: They need a new drummer. Carnie’s family falls ill, leaving Chynna and Wendy to make the decision. Then to make matters worse, before the television appearance, Carnie gets sick as well. With no rehearsal, will the girls be able to pull off this huge live performance?
While still recovering from surgery, Carnie has to face a week of family commitments culminating in her mother’s 64th birthday party. Chynna, wanting to jump-start Carnie’s recovery, moves into Carnie’s house and attempts to create a “healing regimen.” Meanwhile, Wendy struggles to prepare for her mom’s party without Carnie’s input. Can Carnie get her groove back or will she disappoint her family all around?
Wilson Phillips is a month away from kicking-off their comeback tour with a show in New Orleans, when Carnie surprises Wendy and Chynna by announcing she’s having another weight-loss surgery. Can Carnie make a speedy recovery in time to take the stage or will her health get in the way of the group’s comeback?
