The Sheepdogs show us The Way It Is in their new video

We can’t confirm this, but we’re going to go ahead and say (and hope) that no kids were harmed in the making of this new Sheepdogs video.

In this new clip for The Way It Is, the members of The Sheepdogs go up against a group of kids in a game of baseball. I mean, sure, they’re twice their size and way more athletic than those youngsters, but that doesn’t stop them from going up against them in what is probably the most unfair game we’ve ever seen.

Beating kids in baseball aside, this video is lots of fun and the song itself is perfect for fans of The Black Keys’ straight-up rock ‘n’ roll attitude.

The Sheepdogs announce new album, release single ‘The Way It Is’

Saskatoon rockers, The Sheepdogs, announced this week that they will be releasing a new self-titled album this September, and now they’ve also provided us with a single. The Way It Is is the first track from the upcoming album, which will follow up 2010′s Learn & Burn.

The track takes off where the four-piece left off with pounding riffs and a catchy melody accented by tight harmonies, all with a signature stamp of classic rock ‘n’ roll attitude. The Way It Is will surely win over fans of The Black Keys.

The Sheepdogs caught the eyes of Rolling Stone Magazine last year when they won the Choose the Cover contest. Since then, the band has blown up and has performed at countless festivals, made an appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and even swept the most recent Juno Awards winning three trophies.

The band will embark on a tour this fall in support of the new album.
