Sharon Osbourne has branded Lady Gaga an “attention seeking hypocrite”. The TV personality has responded to Gaga’s claims that E! show Fashion Police, which Kelly co-hosts, “breeds negativity”, and has accused the Born This Way singer of being a “bully”. The drama stems from Kelly’s comments last October when she said, “Lady Gaga’s fans are the worst” and accused them of encouraging her to commit suicide, she also claimed the pop superstar had a duty to step in and stop their comments.
In response, Gaga penned a lengthy open letter on her fan-based social networking site, LittleMonsters.com, addressed to the Fashion Police star, noting that while she felt empathetic towards Kelly and discourages her fans “from any negativity and violence”, she feels the E! show, which also features Joan Rivers, promotes bullying. The Edge of Glory hit maker wrote, “I have empathy for you Kelly, but I feel it culturally important to note that you have chosen a less compassionate path. Your work on E! with the Fashion Police is rooted in criticism, judgement and rating people’s beauty against one another. ‘Appearance’ is the most used reason for bullying in the world… Your show breeds negativity, and over the years has even become comedic in nature. It glorifies you and Joan Rivers pointing in the camera, laughing, and making jokes about artists and celebrities as if we are zoo animals.”
The letter prompted Kelly’s mother Sharon to respond via her Facebook page, and revealed she had wrote to Gaga’s manager to ask her fans to stop “writing libellous, slanderous and vile comments about my family”. She wrote, “I don’t feel I have to justify Kelly’s choices in life to you. By your actions to Kelly right now, you have shown me that you are nothing more than a publicly (sic) seeking hypocrite and an attention seeker. You know it would have been much more dignified of you to do this privately. I am calling you a bully because you have 32 million followers hanging on your every word and you are criticising Kelly in your open letter. Are you so desperate that you needed to make this public?” Sharon added that “a word from” Gaga “would stop all the hideous, negative and vile threats from your ‘little monsters’”, and stated she was open to continuing the debate should Gaga choose to.

Showbiz matriarch Sharon Osbourne thinks 18-year-old singer Justin Bieber is a “great little guy”, but she doesn’t know how long his success will last now his fans are growing older. Said Sharon, “He’s a really great little guy. But that’s his problem – he’s a little guy.” Osbourne continued, saying “His fans are growing up, they’re 18 and 19 now … they’re young women. And he still looks like that little boy! He needs some hair, or something … I just don’t think, from my gut – maybe my gut’s wrong because it’s not 100 per cent – but I don’t think he’s going to stand the test of time.”
However Sharon, who managed her husband Ozzy’s rock career, doesn’t feel sorry for the Believe hitmaker if he career does come to a premature end, because he has made “oodles” of money already, saying “But you know what, I don’t feel sorry for him, because he’s made oodles and he’s a fabulously nice person and he’ll go on to do something else.”
Despite Sharon’s attack, Justin insists he is “not worried”, tweeting “Doubt me … I like it. Not worried Sharon.”
