One Hit Wonders’ get a bad rap. I mean One Hit Wonder still means you had 1 Hit…it’s better than no hits? But here’s the thing, every artist who has a big hit, usually follows it with a teeny tiny hit that sort comes out of the big one, let’s call it a hit aftershock…and you have NO idea how difficult it was for us to lock into a list of 100 artists who we could truly say will always be defined by one song. A song that was so big it overshadows everything else, the one song we all instantly know the words to, the one and only song they will be remembered for. We’ve got Canadian One Hit Wonders; we’ve got Movie Soundtrack One Hit Wonders, we’ve got the artists who were the biggest names in music….at least for a moment.
