Ne-Yo’s ex let her love him, but didn’t love his music back. Apparently the famous singer has a secret past that was revealed this week by a TMZ reporter who asked Ne-Yo if he had ever been married. That’s it? We just had to ask him? Quick, think of questions to ask Ne-Yo!
Ne-Yo admitted that he was married 11 years ago when he was 19, though the union only lasted a few months and was later annulled. When asked whether the marriage was a secret, Ne-Yo explained that he never discussed it because…wait for it…”Nobody really knows that. Nobody ever really asked.” Seriously, start thinking of questions.

Ne-Yo has released a remix to his huge hit Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself) and has slowed down the uptempo pop track, giving it a harder R’nB feel and adding a verse from rapper French Montana. Surrounded by women in a club, Ne-Yo and Montana perform the song while the women share some of the heavy lifting by performing dance breaks throughout the video.
Though the song has a cool vibe, it can’t touch the original. Ne-Yo’s vocals sound like they’ve been slowed down from the original rather than re-recorded and the remix loses the intensity and emotion of the original. It’s got the groove, but not the staying power. And don’t even get me started on the differences in quality of the two videos. You can check out the remix and original below and compare for yourself.

Ne-Yo has announced that he plans on becoming a vegan. The singer revealed his New Year’s resolution is to try to give up all meat, dairy and animal products, but he has admitted he is not looking forward to the challenge.
The 30-year-old star shared his plans with his fans via his Twitter page this week, writing “What’s everybody’s New Year’s resolution? I’m gonna try to go vegan. Discipline test. NOT looking forward to it. Wish me luck!”
The father-of-two is just the latest in a number of well-known celebrities to adopt the lifestyle change, including Leona Lewis and Avril Lavigne. Despite doing his best for the planet, Ne-Yo admitted earlier this year that he isn’t perfect. He previously said “I’m a gentleman, but I’m a human being first, and a human being is not always polished and pretty.”
The singer and songwriter, who has previously worked with Michael Jackson, Mary J. Blige and Beyonce Knowles, credits his musical abilities to his mother, who encouraged him to express himself when he was younger. He added “My mom saw I was a pent up kid. So she gave me a pen and said, ‘Write it all down’.”

Ne-Yo gets introspective in his dark video for Forever Now, beginning with a spoken word piece about losing the love of his life over his career. The video is high on the dramatics, showing Ne-Yo being bombarded with questions during a press conference, while visions his ex haunt him. The singer and producer also shows off his dancing skills in the video, featuring scenes of Ne-Yo and his dance troupe working on the song’s choreography in a studio.
Forever Now is the follow up to the hugely successful Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself), Ne-Yo’s first single from his latest album R.E.D. The singer performed his the track this past weekend on SNL, switching things up for his second performance with the ballad She Is, also off R.E.D., which stands for Realizing Every Dream.
