Directed by Justin Francis, Kelly Clarkson’s first music video from her upcoming album Stronger shows a snapshot of the negative side of the music business the singer has endured over her career. The ‘wall of doubt’ as it’s called is a backdrop for Clarkson’s music video, papered with headlines about the singers struggle with her record company and scrutiny of her love life.
The video for Mr. Know It All, which was one of the last songs added to the October 24th album, shows Clarkson confronting an ex-boyfriend and the wall of doubt while looking amazing. Most of the video is filmed with Clarkson wearing a simple black outfit with bold jewellery, though a few scenes at the end show Kelly done up in a gorgeous ballgown. Gurl is looking fierce!

It’s Britney versus Britney baby! She kicks, punches (serious punches, not wimpy little slaps) and soars through the air to become the reigning queen of pop for another generation!
Even though “Hold It Against Me” is a seductive song (translation: don’t-hold-it-against-me-for-saying-I-want-your-body-for-sex-cause-I’m-feeling-good-to-this-song-right-now) the video reads as Britney Spears saying “don’t hold my messed-up life against me ’cause I’m back!”
And literally she’s back on top. Swirling up high between all the headlines and past videos of her life (who didn’t like the throwbacks to “Baby One More Time” and “Sometimes“?) she’s decked out in pure white signaling an all-new born-again Britney Spears. She even fights a messed up alter-ego, hits rock bottom (paint splattered all over her sparkly dress) but gets back up to finish the song in tight black leather!
She’s grown-up, she’s lived life and she’s ready for more! Life threw her some serious s#!t and she’s climbed back to the top each and everytime. That’s my girl!
I, for one, love she’s embraced her full-fledged femme fatale persona. We’ve seen her teen years, her messed-up early adulthood and know she’s come through unscathed. Kudos to you Brit – you’re back baby! And we hold nothing against you!
Her new album, Femme Fatale, drops March 29, 2011.
This was a video worth waiting for! WITNESS THE MOST ANTICIPATED VIDEO OF 2011: “HOLD IT AGAINST ME” NOW!
