Justin Bieber is a little out there sometimes, but he’s literally going out there soon…out into space.
As Virgin founder Richard Branson revealed, Bieber and his manager, Scooter Braun, will be going aboard a suborbital flight with Virgin Galactic.
“Great to hear @justinbieber & @scooterbraun are latest @virgingalactic future astronauts. Congrats, see you up there!” Branson tweeted yesterday. Bieber has since retweeted this message to his millions of fans.
Other celebs who have signed up for this space mission are Ashton Kutcher and Leonardo DiCaprio. Deposits for this trip are $250,000.

Will.i.Am has released a video for his collaboration with Justin Bieber on the dance track Power. The new song is the third single from Will.i.Am’s album, #Willpower, which also features guest appearances from Miley Cyrus, Skylar Grey, Nichole Scherzinger and Britney Spears, who appeared with the Black Eyed Peas front man on Scream and Shout.
The futuristic video features Will.i.Am performing with a group of dancers wearing matching outfits that I think are best described as what a traditional Amish man may wear in the year 2050. It appears that the production team may have blown their budget on the broad rims hats instead of getting shooting permits, with pedestrians sticking out like a sore thumb in the background throughout the video. This is especially evident when Will and his back up dances begin to move in slow motion, while people walk at a normal speed behind them. I’d like to think they’re making fun of themselves, but I don’t think anyone that earnestly adds a hashtag to their album title is big on self-deprecating humour.
For his part, Bieber appears as a hologram, which seems like a contradiction to the line “I’m alive, I’m alive, I’m alive”, which the singer repeats throughout the chorus. A box containing Justin’s hologram is the focus of the video, with Will and his dancers travelling the globe to deliver the goods to another slow-moving dance team.
Well, at least there are some super sweet cars to look at.

Michael Buble thinks Justin Bieber ‘should get a medal for smoking a joint.’ Seems like a bit much, but the upcoming JUNO Awards host does may a point. With all the controversy surrounding young Bieber as of late, including cancelled concerts and a comment many deemed inappropriate at the Anne Frank museum, Buble thinks his fellow Canadian singer has handled himself well.
While being interviewed by the Daily Star Magazine, Buble said “I think, for what Justin Bieber has been through, he is remarkable. He has handled it with dignity.” Buble continued, saying “I am a fan of the way he handles himself. They should give him a medal for smoking a joint. It made him human – he’s just a kid.”
The 37 year-old singer, whose new album To Be Loved hits stores on Monday, admitted that he was happy he found success later in life, saying “I had become the man I am, the man I was going to be. If it had happened when I was 17, I would have been a p***k.”
In all fairness, Buble, most of us were p***l’s at 17.
