Dragonette have released their official video for Giddy Up, the fourth single from the trio’s 2012 disc Body Parts. The fun and fast-paced song is just asking to be played during a spin class, with an infectious beat that makes sitting still seem like a waste of time.
The video matches the carefree vibe of song, with the opening showing lead singer Martina Sorbara spending about ten seconds hanging from a rafter before joining the rest of the band during a jam session in a barn. The performance pieces of the video are interspliced with footage of horses running. Giddy Up indeed.

Dragonette is hands down one of the most danciest bands out there with dance floor jams like Hello and Big In Japan out there and now we have Run Run Run the first track off their latest album Bodyparts. The video follows Martina walking through New York City, partying, performing, getting covered in red blood-like liquid, getting drenched in water, and basically having an all-around party-for-one rager. If I was Martina, I’d probably be covered in a lot worse than fake-blood or ketchup… wait, that sounded weird. Yeah just watch the fast paced video, would you?
Dragonette is up for Dance Album of the Year at the 2013 JUNO Awards. Do you think they deserve it? Tell us in the comments section below and check out their video for Run Run Run here.
