Bono and Bob Do the Globe!

Saturday: for musicians like Bono and Bob Geldof, this day would be spent rocking out at sold-out venues, making chart-topping music, or getting their hands dirty helping solve the world’s problems.

And this past weekend was no different – Bono and Bob stepped foot in Toronto’s offices of The Globe and Mail, and made history as the first guest-editors for Canada’s national newspaper.

Bob and Bono Do The Globe

The Globe and Mail have new editors!!

Bono and Bob Geldof have many jobs: musicians, entertainers, anti-poverty activists……and now editors?

That’s right guys – U2’s Bono and solo and former Boomtown Rats singer Bob Geldof will be editing the Monday, May 10 edition of Canada’s national newspaper, The Globe and Mail.

AND they want to talk to you – yes, you!! They want to see your faces (so glam up!) and answer your questions (so do your research!) about their cause improving conditions for men, women and children living in poverty in Africa.

Bono and Bob will answer your video questions to The Globe and Mail on the potential of Africa in the lead up to the G8 conference. You can get the details from the Globe’s site HERE and post videos using Flickr, the Globe’s online tools, or YouTube. But you’ve gotta get your video question to them by midnight ET on Thursday, May 6, 2010…so go get’em.

Go ahead, get involved with the artists and the world, and send in your questions to Bono and Bob on Africa.

Spider Man on Broadway Auditions

So Spider Man is coming to broadway- Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark — the Broadway musical featuring the music and lyrics of U2’s Bono and the Edge —has announced the first six dates of open casting calls. Producers are looking for singers with a rock & roll background to tackle the biggest roles, and not that they are being picky or anything but… for the Lead Female Villain role, producers are searching for “an amazing rock voice; think Sinead O’Connor with a Middle Eastern/Bulgarian/Greek twist…..interested? Here are the casting call dates.
