If you have any respect for television then you’ve spent an episode or two, or three seasons with the Salinger family from Party of Five. You might have cried just a little bit with them, every week and then a lot when the show vanished the same season the series won a Golden Globe Award for Best Drama.
Well it is back (on MuchMore Weekdays at 3pm ET) and you can get all teary-eyed again. A return of such a memorable show might make you reflect on this loveable cast and ask yourself, ‘Whatever happened to…’
For starters Charlie Salinger, played by Matthew Fox, is currently the star of the much talked about (maybe too much in some offices I know) series Lost. You may have also caught Fox in movies like Speed Racer, Vantage Point and We Are Marshall.
Life After The Party Rating: Five out of Five
Scott Wolf’s career didn’t exactly reach new heights beyond his role as Bailey in Party of Five. Wolf played in several series all which had a short lifespan with the exception of Everwood where he played Dr. Jake Hartman for three seasons.
Life After The Party Rating: One out of Five
Guelph, Ontario’s own Neve Campbell, strutted her stuff on the Canadian series Catwalk before taking on the role of Julia in Party of Five. She would go on to star in several movie slashers and thrillers like The Craft and Scream 1 – 3. Matt Dillon and Denise Richards joined her for a threesome in the movie Wild Things. Although her body of work wasn’t that well received up until that point she would go onto star in three movies that were: Panic, The Company and When Will I Be Loved.
Life After The Party Rating: Four out of Five
Lacey Chabert was just 11-years-old when she tackled the role as Claudia and grew up on screen through her run on the series. Now at just 26-years-old, Lacey currently sits on a body of work that is almost entirely catering to young people. She starred in Mean Girls with Lindsay Lohan but her credits mostly include voice acting work including: The Wild Thornberrys, Rugrats, Family Guy (as the original Meg Griffin) and the video game Sonic the Hedgehog.
Life After The Party Rating: Two out of Five
Finally, you may have noticed the youngest of the Salinger’s, Owen, was played by several actors over the series. If you recall the character on the show grew at an unrealistic pace therefore seven children in total played the role including three sets of twins to start the series and then Jacob Smith for the end of the series. Smith would be the only one to continue in Hollywood following the series playing in several family-friendly movies including Cheaper by the Dozen and Troy.

jennifer love hewitt was in the show, she’s amazing. And i love her current show Ghost whisperer….part of five is a good show, but i prefer newer dramas like one tree hill, and even cancelled ones like the oc.
I love party of five, I’ve only seen a few seasons and episodes but it’s such a good show. Matthew Fox from LOST who plays Charlie, and Lacey Chabert who played Gretchen from Mean girls, I could hardly recognize her, she looks so young here. Great show, and great casting. What season is it on though?
I’m 32. So when Party of Five first aired in 1994 i was 17 years old.
This television series was an addiction in my household. Even the MEN in the house watched it and loved it. I really have never watched another series EVER like it again. The closest was ER. But i didn’t even watch that show religously like Party of FIve.Thank-you so much for bringing Party of Five back it was and still is my FAVORITE show EVER!
OK so where is Party of Five??? The season 5 finale aired a few weeks ago, and season 6 hasn’t started yet! Hopefully MMM will update their schedule accordingly, rather than leaving us totally hanging!!
Watch Party of Five weekdays at 3PM ET 12PM PT on MuchMore

I love Party of five, it was my favorite show growing up. I love that I can still watch it but now that I have children of my own I don’t have time to watch it a 3pm. I used to be on at 12 midnight eastern but the last week it has been taken off. I was wondering if it will be back on at 12 for that is the only time I can watch it.
Thank you,
Teri Leslie
