I’m A Celebrity: Episode 10

Back at camp the celebrities discuss how John immediately chose himself. He seems to be the only one who really thinks it was a fair decision. Patti even says that John should have picked her. Someone’s feeling a little entitled there.

Continuing in his role as Camp Leader, John Salley decides to be the camp alarm clock, waking up Janice with a nice greeting of “get yo sexy ass outta bed.” After her rude awakening Janice shares her odd dream with Stephen Baldwin. He tries to analyze her dream and she starts crying because he basically tells her that she is close to death. She is having a tough morning.

Now that it’s day 17 in the jungle Torrie is really starting to feel homesick. To ease the emotions at camp the celebrities are given some art supplies to sketch their favorite moment of their time in the jungle so far. After their works of art are completed they each present a little camp side show and tell.

The teams select Janice, Patti, John and Stephen to compete in the food trial “Spiders Web” for a dinner of Chinese take-away. Well…. technically Janice was not really selected; she just elected herself and refused to back down. I don’t really understand why someone who calls themselves a grey haired little old lady in disguise thinks they should compete in a physically demanding challenge. But oh well.

During the trial both teams seemed to have done a good job and in the end, the guys win… again. It’s not too surprising considering John could probably have reached every single flag while standing on the ground. Once the boys are announced the winners, Janice refuses to shake John’s hand. Typical Janice…. always trying to make friends.

The other celebrities start to voice their suspicions about John and Patti’s close connection. In a confessional John basically admits he’s had some inappropriate thoughts about Patti. Are there now three love affairs going down in Costa Rica? Stephen’s take on their relationship is actually the most interesting because he thinks that Patti is just using John for her advantage… but I don’t understand what for. What exactly can he do for her? (especially considering her situation back home).

During dinner Sanjaya makes some oily pasta for the girls. John is disappointed by his lack of cooking skills and passive aggressively revokes all his cooking privileges.

At the end of the episode the celebrities are sitting around the campfire discussing how sad they will be once two people are voted off. I’m distracted by the fact that John is smoking a huge cigar. Where does John get all these cigars from? If he was allowed to bring those couldn’t the other celebrities bring snacks? The hosts come to camp to tell the celebrities how America is voting. They give some pretty useless tips to the celebrities. They really only tell us that the voting is close. My guess is that Stephen and Holly are going home, but I really have no clue. Your guess?
