First Spin: Metric!
It’s been almost 4 years since their last full-length album but Metric is back with Fantasies and we’re very excited to offer this up as a First Spin! Due to an unexpected leak, the label decided to push the release date up by a week which means we can offer it to you as a first spin a week earlier too!!
Showing a bit of softer side, this album brings Metric to the big leagues with countless hits of gorgeous ambient/dreamy rock, inspiring lyrics and melodic tunes. The album has been playing on my computer for the past couple weeks non-stop. Definitely one of the best albums of 2009 so far!! Emily Haines’ voice is truly mesmerizing and this is by far my favorite album to date. Let me know what you think!! My fave songs are ‘Sick Muse’ and ‘Help I’m Alive’ and of course ‘Gimme Sympathy’ – what are yours? Enjoy!!
