Alan Doyle and Russell Crowe team up in video for Testify
Best known for being the voice behind Canada’s Great Big Sea, Alan Doyle released his first solo album, Boy on a Bridge, this past May. With his second single Testify, featuring fellow Canadian Colin James, Doyle received some big-time Hollywood cred with the inclusion of his friend, Golden Globe winner Russell Crowe.
Having collaborated several times over the past decade, Doyle and Crowe made a natural team for the music video, which followed the storyline in Testify with Doyle portraying a prisoner and Crowe as the helpful preacher. Shot in Doyle’s native Newfoundland, Testify was written by both Crowe and Doyle.
