Depeche Mode Still Kickin

Way back in the year 1990… there was almost a riot near a record store in LA when Depeche Mode were appearing to promote their new album Violator and almost 15 000 people showed up to try and meet the band. Almost 20 years later (I can’t believe it’s been 20 years since 1990) …almost 20 years later 12000 people showed up to see Depeche Mode Perform on the outdoor stage of the Jimmy Kimmel show in LA this week and members of Coldplay, along with Jared Leto and Christina Applegate were also spotted checking out the 45 minute free performance. Is it just me or are Depeche Mode the most hyped band so far in 2009? Not enough for them to knock Lady Gaga out of number one on the UK charts however…. instead of scoring their 3rd UK number one…the emo grandpas (the gremos) had to settle for a number 2 in the UK.
