Bon Jovi wants YOU to open for their tour!
Bon Jovi is hitting the road this summer on their The Circle Tour and are on the lookout for opening acts! Eight concerts, including four Canadian dates in Toronto, Winnipeg, Edmonton and Regina, will feature local bands as the opening performers!
Bands will be able to submit their audition videos through the OurStage website here. The winning band for each concert will receive three tickets to the show and play for approximately 20 minutes.
Entrants have until April 21, 2010 to submit their videos.

Regarding the Bon Jovi contest for an opening band, let me say that for the city of Regina the ONLY choice is Orbital Express. I have seen their show many times (and will go to all the rest as they come up)- they are IT. This is a band of four guys, in their early twenties, that have such an old school flavor – showing respect for bands like Zepplin, Deep Purple, Hendrix, not to mention some of the best blues ever heard. The lyrics are fun, the songs easy to get into with a fist in the air, and one can FEEL thier passion/love for what they do which makes an important connection to the crowds. Their CD is on regular rotation in my players, and believe me I have a large collection to choose from (it takes a great album to be on my rotation). They have a strong, loyal, local following, they have a great stage show, and a great MC (also very funny guy). I’m telling you, as a Bon Jovi fan since the age of 8 (that’s 24 years ago, people), this band will be a smart choice to open the show in Regina. To not choose them would risk changing my opinion on what Bon Jovi is about…
